Brief description of trial (Data source: BASEC)
Es handelt sich um eine doppel-blinde, placebokontrollierte Studie im cross-over Design. Wir wollen untersuchen ob eine kleine Dosis Cannabidiol (CBD) einen Einfluss auf das Erinnern zuvor gelernter Wörter hat. Das Forschungsprojekt findet an 2 Tagen (innerhalb von 2-8 Wochen) statt.
Visite 1 (Screening und Testtag 1: ca. 80 Minuten):
Ablauf der Studie besprechen und Einverständniserklärung unterschreiben. Ausfüllen verschiedener Fragebögen. Beantworten von Fragen zur Gesundheit und Messung von Puls und Blutdruck. Wiegen und Körpergrösse bestimmen um BMI auszurechnen.
Eine Urin Probe wird abgeben, damit wir mit einem Teststreifen allfälliger Cannabiskonsum nachweisen können. Die Nachweisdauer beträgt 3-5 Tage oder mehrere Wochen bei Dauerkonsum. Zeigt der Teststreifen Cannabiskonsum an, wird die Versuchsperson von der Studie ausgeschlossen. Danach lernen sie 15 Wörter, gefolgt vom Dampfen des e-Liquids (Dauer 15min). Danach bearbeiten sie einen Arbeitsgedächtnistest (Dauer 15min), gefolgt vom Ausfüllen verschiedener VAS (Visuelle Analogskala). Am Ende müssen sie alle erinnerten Wörter aufschreiben.
Visite 2 (Testtag 2: ca. 45 Minuten):
Die Visite 2 findet 2-8 Wochen nach Visite 1 statt. Beide Testtage erfolgen zur gleichen Tageszeit (+/- 2h). Der Ablauf der zwei Testtagen ist identisch. Der Testtag 2 fängt mit dem Cannabistest im Urin an, gefolgt von oben beschriebenen Testablauf, wobei eine Parallelversion der Tests verwenden wird.
Wir werden 34 Probanden einschliessen.

Allergien oder Intoleranzen auf Propylenglykol, Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit, Drogen- oder Alkoholmissbrauch

Inclusion Criteria:
- Healthy
- Normotensive (BP between 90/60mmHg and 140/90mmHg)
- BMI between 18 and 30 kg/m2
- Male or female
- Aged between 18 and 30 years
- Native or fluent German-speaking
- Able and willing to give written informed consent as documented by signature and
comply with the requirements of the study protocol
- Willing to donate urine sample to control for pre-Visit CBD/THC consume
Exclusion Criteria:
- Acute or chronic psychiatric disorder including drug or alcohol abuse
- Women who are pregnant or breast feeding
- Intention to become pregnant during the course of the study
- Smoking (> 5 cigarettes per day)
- Participation in one of our previous studies using the same verbal test in the past 2
years
- Participation in a study with CBD / THC within the 30 days preceding and during the
present study
- Known hypersensitivity or allergy to propylene glycol
- Intake of CBD / THC within the 7 days preceding and during the present study in any
application form
- Long-term systemic medication or topical steroids to treat an underlying disease
within last 3 months
- Inability to follow the procedures of the study, e.g. due to language problems,
psychological disorders, dementia, etc. of the participant
- Enrolment of the investigator, his/her family members, employees and other dependent
persons
