Das Projekt betrifft die Einführung eines neuen Testes. Dieser soll die Funktion des Harnstoffzyklus untersuchen und dabei genauer als bisherige Verfahren sein. Der Test dauert mehrere Stunden und erfordert das Trinken einer salzigen Lösung, gefolgt von mehreren Blutentnahmen aus einer Venenverweilkanüle.
