Brief description of trial (Data source: BASEC)
In unserer Studie wollen wir bei Patientinnen mit abklärungswürdigem Befund untersuchen, ob mit der Durchführung einer neuartigen Verarbeitung von Ultraschalldaten der Brust (sogenanntem Multi-Parametrischem Brust-Ultraschall) die Art der Veränderung (gutartig / bösartig) ohne eine bildgesteuerte Biopsie erkannt werden kann. Dies geschieht im direkten Vergleich zur routinemässigen Ultraschall-gestützten Biopsie. Die Ultraschall-gestützte Biopsie erfolgt standardmässig mithilfe einer Brust-Ultraschallbildgebung (BUS). Vorgängig zur dieser standardmässigen Abbildung werden in der Studie mit der gleichen Methode Bilddaten der Brust gesammelt (mp-BUS Imaging) und anschliessend ausgewertet.

Verdacht auf Brustkrebs:
Zielgruppe der Studie sind Frauen, bei welchen im Rahmen einer vorgängigen Ultraschalluntersuchung ein Herdbefund mit einer Auffälligkeit und/oder ein auffälliger Tastbefund der Brust festgestellt wurde. Angesichts dieser Befunde soll eine bösartige Veränderung der Brust ausgeschlossen werden. Dafür wird eine vertiefte Abklärung mittels Brust-Ultraschall-Verlaufskontrolle oder Brust-Ultraschall unterstützte Gewebeentnahme (Biopsie) durchgeführt.

Frauen ab 18 Jahren, bei denen ein Verdacht auf oder der Befund eines Brustkrebses besteht und eine Brust-Ultraschalluntersuchung oder eine Gewebeentnahme empfohlen wird

Inclusion Criteria:
- Women who are suspected or suspected of having breast cancer and who are advised to
perform a detailed breast ultrasound or tissue sampling (biopsy)
- Classification into groups:
- Group 1: Foreseen for BUS guided biopsy
- Group 2: BI-RADS classification I, II and III and foreseen for BUS only based
diagnosis

- Lactating women
- Women with mastitis
