Brief description of trial (Data source: BASEC)
Angehörige sind wichtige PartnerInnen für das Betreuungsteam auf der
Intensivstation (ICU). Ein großer Anteil von Familien berichtet über Angst,
Stress und Depression (1,2). Eine Folge davon können Symptome einer
posttraumatischen Belastungsstörung (PTSD) sein. Die Literatur bestätigt
einen Zusammenhang zwischen Informationsasymmetrie, Fehl- bzw. Falschinformation und dem Auftreten von Symptomen einer PTSD (3,4).
Das Hauptziel dieser prospektiven verblindeten randomisierten kontrollierten
Studie (RCT) ist es, den Informationsfluss zwischen den Angehörigen
und dem interprofessionellen Behandlungsteam (Mediziner, Pflegefachpersonen)
zu unterstützen und die Informationsasymmetrie zu reduzieren
um Symptome wie Stress, Angst und Depression zu reduzieren. Dazu wird eine interaktive Kommunikationsplattform untersucht.

Interaktive online Kommunikationsplattform für Angehörige von Patienten der Intensivstation.
Interventionsgruppe: Interaktive online Kommunikationsplattform mit Inhalten aus einer Literaturrecherche sowie aus Ergebnissen der ersten Studienphase.
Kontrollgruppe: Informationen, die bereits heute über das Internet der Universitätsklinik für Intensivmedizin (KIM) zu finden sind. Die Aufbereitung der Inhalte erfolgt optisch gleich wie bei der Interventionsgruppe (Farbe, Design, Einstieg in die Plattform).

Criteria for participation in trial

Einschlusskriterien Angehörige (eine Hauptbezugsperson wird getestet):
• Erwartete Aufenthaltsdauer der Patienten von mindestens 72
Stunden (Einschätzung Prüfarzt, Prüfärztin)
• Alter von Patient und Angehörigen ≥ 18 Jahren
• Ausreichende Deutschkenntnisse
• Grundliegende IT-Kenntnisse (nach eigener Angabe, hat Internet
und Computer zu Hause, nutzt diese zumindest wöchentlich)
• Wohnsitz in der Schweiz
Exclusion criteria

Ausschlusskriterien Angehörige:
• Erwarteter Tod der PatientInnen innerhalb von 5 Tagen (Einschätzung
durch Prüfarzt, Prüfärztin)
