Die Diagnose des Hörvermögens wird im klinischen Alltag mittels standardisierten audiometrischen Verfahren durchgeführt. Ein wichtiges subjektives audiometrisches Verfahren ist die Bestimmung des Tonaudiogramms, welches die frequenzspezifische Hörschwelle einer Person aufzeigt. Bei dieser Untersuchung werden die Hörschwellen für die Luftleitung (LL) mit Kopfhörer und für die Knochenleitung (KL) mittels mechanischen Vibrationen mit einem KL-Stimulator gemessen. Daraus kann eine perzeptive Schwerhörigkeit ermittelt werden. Dabei wird der KL-Stimulator mit einem Stahlbügel auf das Schläfenbein hinter der Ohrmuschel angepresst.
Die gemessene KL-Hörschwellen hängt von verschiedenen Paramenten ab; insbesondere haben Ort und Druck der Ankopplung des KLStimulators einen Einfluss auf das Resultat. Standard in der klinischen Routine, auch an der ORL Klinik USZ, ist die Verwendung der KLStimulatoren von der Firma RADIOEAR B71 mit Kopfbügel.
Seit kurzem sind neue KL-Stimulatoren kommerziell erhältlich. Bisher wurden noch nicht untersucht, ob sich diese Stimulatoren für die klinische Audiometrie eignen.

Keine Deformation des äusseren Ohres und des Mastoids
Einwilligung zur Studienteilnahme
Normale Otoskopie
Hörvermögen entsprechend den Vorgaben der Studiengruppe (Normalhörende und Schwerhörige)
