Aktuelle Milchpumpen funktionieren anders als das Stillen. Dazu gehören die Abdichtung der Brust, die Bewegung der Brustwarze, die Wärme- und Feuchtigkeitsempfindungen sowie die Variabilität in Häufigkeit und Stärke des angelegten Vakuums. Während des Stillens bilden die Brustwarze der Mutter und der Mund des Säuglings eine Kammer, die ein flüssigkeitsgefülltes System ohne Totvolumen ist, das benötigt wird, um ein Arbeitsvakuum zu erzeugen, um die Milch von der Brust abzusaugen. Laut Ultraschallmessungen ist im natürlichen System keine Luft sichtbar. Dies ist anders als bei Milchpumpen, die ein luftgefülltes System mit großem Totvolumen verwenden, um ein Arbeitsvakuum zu erzeugen. Daher wurde ein Funktionsmodell einer flüssigkeitsgefüllten Brustpumpe mit geringerem Totvolumen entwickelt, um den Säugling besser zu imitieren. Die Technologie des flüssigkeitsgefüllten Pumpens wurde in einer früheren klinischen Studie (EKNZ 2015-241) getestet und ist nun zu einem vollständigen Prototyp geworden, mit dem der Benutzer zusammenbauen, pumpen, auseinanderbauen, reinigen und wiederverwenden kann.

Criteri per la partecipazione alla sperimentazione

Einschlusskriterien:
1. Teilnehmerin ≥ 18 Jahre
2. Das Kind ist ≥1 und ≤6 Monate alt
3. Die Teilnehmerin und das Baby sind laut Selbstdeklaration im Fragebogen zur Gesundheit von Mutter und Kind gesund
4. Die Teilnehmerin stillt vorwiegend (80% aller Fütterungen, d. h. ≤150 ml Muttermilchersatz / Tag oder eine gleiche repräsentative Menge an fester Nahrung).
5. Die Testperson verpflichtet sich, das letzte Mal mindestens 2 Stunden vor Beginn des Pumpvorgangs am Untersuchungsort zu pumpen oder zu füttern
6. Die Teilnehmerin stimmt den Fotografien / 3D-Scans der Brust und des Oberkörpers (kein Gesicht) zu
7. Die Teilnehmerin stimmt einem Video beim Pumpen zu
8. Die Teilnehmerin unterschrieb die Einverständniserklärung
9. Die Testperson stimmt zu, dass maximal 2 männliche Teammitglieder im Raum sein würden, um den Usability-Teil der Studie durchzuführen
10. Die Mutter akzeptiert, dass die in Besuch 2 gepumpte Milch entsorgt werden muss

Ausschlusskriterien:
1. Die Teilnehmerin hat eine Brustwarzengröße von ≥ 21 mm
2. Brustdrüsenentzündung (jede Brust innerhalb von zwei Wochen vor der Studien-Einschreibung)
3. Milchdrüsenverstopfung (jede Brust innerhalb von zwei Wochen vor der Einschreibung).
4. Aktuelle Infektion, wie im Gesundheitsfragebogen für Mutter und Kind angegeben
Inclusion/Exclusion Criteria

Inclusion Criteria:
1. Subject = 18 years old
2. Infant is =1 and =6 month old
3. Subject and baby are healthy according to self-declaration in the Mother and infant
health questionnaire
4. Subject is predominantly breastfeeding (80% of all feeds, i.e. =150 ml formula/day or
equal representative amount of solid food)
5. The subject agrees to pump or feed the last time a minimum of 2 hours (hr) before the
start of the pumping session at the study site
6. The subject agrees to photographs/3 D scan of the breast and upper body (no face),
7. The subject agrees to a video while pumping
8. The subject signs the informed consent documentation
9. Subject agrees that a maximum of 2 male team members can be present in the room to
conduct the usability part of the study
10. The mother accepts that the pumped milk in visit 2 must be donated to the study i.e.
cannot be fed to the baby
Exclusion Criteria:
1. The subject has a nipple size = 21 mm
2. Mastitis (any breast within two weeks prior to enrolment)
3. Engorgement (any breast within two weeks prior to enrolment).
4. Case of current infection as self-declared in the Mother and infant health
questionnaire
